Shiny Dino Guidelines


Purpose

These guidelines help the Pixel Discord Moderator how to handle players who may be violating the server’s Shiny Dino rules while ensuring they are informed before action is taken.

Player Contact Procedure

When a player is found breaking the Shiny Dino rules:

  1. Create or pull the player (or their tribe) into a Discord support ticket.
  2. Remind them of the Shiny Dino rules and direct them to where the rules can be found.
  3. Attempt to contact them in-game.
  4. Teleport to their location if necessary.
  5. While in-game, leave your tribe or join on a new character, Join their tribe and send a message in tribe chat encouraging them to:
    • Join the Discord server.
    • Read the Shiny Dino rules.
    • Respond to their Discord ticket if one has been created.
  6. If the player still cannot be reached:
    • Log in using the in-game password.
    • Leave an admin billboard at their base explaining:
      • They need to join the Discord server.
      • Where to find the Shiny Dino rules.
      • That they have an open support ticket (if applicable).
  7. Remove the admin billboard once the player has been contacted and reminded of the rules.
  8. Screenshot and post all interactions and their response.

Enforcement Policy

First Offense

  • Issue a reminder.
  • Direct the player to the Discord server and the Shiny Dino rules.
  • No additional consequence unless otherwise instructed.

Second Offense

  • Apply a 1-week Shiny Dino pause.
  • Inform the player of the reason for the pause and remind them of the rules.

Third Offense

Present the situation, including previous offenses, and provide your recommendation for further action. Final disciplinary decisions should be made by Admin, Pixel Manager, Pixel Equalizer, and Pixel Mod.

Staff Expectations

Always remain respectful and professional. Give players a reasonable opportunity to learn the rules before escalating punishment.

Document all reminders, warnings, pauses, and communication attempts in the appropriate staff logs or Discord ticket.

Be consistent when enforcing the Shiny Dino rules across all players.
